#2Why do we want to destroy one of the most historical achievements of the century? Would it be that costly to move it somewhere else and make it a museum in a few hundred years when space travel becomes cheap?

Unless you pay the $1B a year or so for a few hundred years to maintain it in orbit or the massive cost to get it out of Earths orbit, it will eventually succumb to gravity and crash into the Earth.

#5I was confused at first by the "up to US$843 million ($1.26 billion)" till I realized it was a currency conversion from US to Australian.
