I could conceive of a future where nothing is required of most people besides continued consumption, as their eyes on a piece of content will generate revenue, which will be taxed, and those taxes will pay for the consumer class to live and continue consuming. If your system relies on fake numbers getting bigger and bigger, you'll eventually have to pad those numbers out.
