It's like the author's intent was to distill and exposit absolutely everything wrong with the current state of this industry (on both sides) compared to ten years ago.

Haha. Maybe if companies had not been using automated systems to weed out (and likely discriminate) against applicants this would not be happening.

i felt their intent was to write a piece promoting the one company in the article which had "no downsides"
