Ask HN: Looking for good industrial design news/resources/discussions/books

Hey all, I've recently developed an interest in industrial design, particularly inspired by the works of figures like Max Bill. I want to explore more about this field and would like an easy in. I'm not necessarily looking for academic or career-oriented insights. I'd like to find resources/discussions from people who have similar interests, like the discussions on HN. Thanks in advance!

I don't know much about this area, but I'm really fond of Dieter Ram's design. See "less but better" and google about him.

I recently went down the ID rabbit hole.

I've worked in product management for the past 10ish years, predominately working on products that are a combination of hardware + software, hardware that's connected to the cloud. SaaS and ecommerce product management is written about to death while I've struggled with finding hardware product management content (I still do) which is quite isolating. The closest thing I've been able to find is Industrial Design content.

Build by Tony Faddell (not really an ID book, but talks about building physical products and businesses)

Just be warned, you’ll become very critical of doors after reading this book. There are so many poorly designed doors.
