My first real job was with CableData and my first "Big Boss" was its founder Bob Mathews. Bob was a visionary; foreseeing online on-demand video entertainment, networked gaming platforms and other digital services long before Apple, Google, etc.
He was also a relentless and intense leader. When I worked there (in my very early 20's), I was kind of afraid of him. But he was nice to me and I think a bit of his work ethic rubbed off on me.
