Modern Standard Arabic – The Missing Glossary

Arabic, as one of the six official UN languages, presents unique challenges in the digital era, particularly for automatic translation and gender inclusivity. This article argues that Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is not a single, uniform language, but a diverse set of dialects with varying vocabulary and expressions, posing complexities for machine learning and natural language processing applications.
