That's just not believable given that I have a few ip ranges that I get heavily throttled on when I don't connect through a VPN.

Yes, our Internet could be worse, and I support laws that keep our public utilities from becoming worse.

That's just not believable given that I have a few ip ranges that I get heavily throttled on when I don't connect through a VPN.
Post those ranges here. Post then to the NANOG mailing list. Name and shame ISPs.

Internet is very neutral in the US because major states like NY and CA have legislated strict net neutrality laws, literally making it infeasible and risky for companies to violate it. You don't know whose traffic will pass from which state and which backbone so it will inevitably end up with you violating the laws of these states. How do we know? This is exactly what they say - they WERE going to violate it, but now its too risky with the fines...

#10Net neutrality favours tech giants and allows them to extract more value than they give to ISPs. It also increases their power. It’s amazing how much they can influence public opinion to make people think this is actually good for them.
