You must not know many people. Korean car manufacturers have high sales numbers.

In the UK, they tend to rate highly in terms of reliability. They can’t be that differently made to the US?

#6I was taught in drivers education (California) to always set my parking brake because popping out of gear while parked was a common issue.
I hope Kia and Hyundai learn from this and get OTA updates working for everything.

Our 2020 Hyundai is the best vehicle we’ve owned - hands down.
Most vehicles have recalls. My 2021 Ford literally needs its entire axle replaced because the hub bolt sheers off.

#8My 2020 Palisade rolled down a hill after I had parked it with my wife and dog still inside. It rolled over my leg and foot, and I had to go to the hospital. My wife had jumped from the passenger seat to the driver's to stomp on the brakes as it slammed into the car behind us. Transmission grinding away as it rolled down the hill.
Could not recommend the experience less.

As the owner of a 2017 Tucson that drinks a qt of oil every 600 miles or so, I agree. So many stories in the Hyundai / Kia Engine Failures FB group. That’s not even mentioning the downright dangerous DCT (transmission)
