#3Better off just learning theory. Much like how I don't need to know how to smelt steel in order to fabricate with it. Soon I won't need to know how to code to get apps made to do what I want/need.

True, but that happens with all trades. There's an attraction to the nostalgia of doing it the "old way" and bragging about how it was so much better in the past.
