Jaiver Milei's WEF Speech

Twitter is currently an echo chamber for praising this guy, hence here posting here. — I don’t feel like he’s engaging in a novel way on the topic but it’s a good summary of classical libertarian talking points.

The difficulty here is that no market is free from distortion and while I see a lot of misguided attempts to correct markets, I see plenty of examples of the abuse of market power as well.

I don’t know if Argentina will be able to stabilise anytime soon but I agree it’s worth trying his approach there as the many decades of failure for alternatives speaks for itself.

I feel like perpetuating arguments that go back a century may be less effective than re-framing the problem space to better reflect what we’ve learned in the interim.

I don’t see the value in continuing to fight the old war on such dated terms.

He reminds me of a religionist preaching to the converted.

Thoughts?
