On the plus side, intuit saying something like this is exactly what I want to hear regarding a program like this. I would have been deeply suspicious if they were anything other than enthusiastically opposed to it.

#6What would be awesome is if the IRS software would automatically prefill all the data and forms sent to it. It would be nice of your W-2, 1099s etc were all included and all you had to do was verify the information and enter any income not already reported.

Not only will they, but Trump's Secretary of Treasury will order the IRS to cancel the program as soon as he's elected.

Turns out, the easiest way to get rid of taxes is to not pay anyone to run the tax system.
Bonus: being able to claim you're being fiscally responsible. (Despite taxes being a revenue generator and salary to administer them being revenue-positive)
