#3Let's not do this, please. This is a disgraceful way for any person or company to behave. Metroc, a Finnish startup is devaluing humans who already face the hard realities of life and their decisions and mistakes. I hope this business model and this startup fails miserably and that none of us here think it is ever okay to behave this way. The community of builders is better than this.

#4A prison sentence is a way to exclude an individual from society at large for a length of time deemed commensurate by the judge, and once that time has been served, I want that person to have a healthy shot at reintegration, which includes: paying them a living wage (if they opt to work, and I'm not yet sure about compulsory labor) to support their family or build savings; providing health care; providing education and training; providing mental health services (part of health care, but I feel it still needs special mention); and more- all things the USA doesn't yet provide our children, contributing to the birth-to-prison pipeline.
