#3In addition to being funny as hell, I actually kind of like the Liturgy idea, but it's an uncomfortable middle ground between private enterprise and taxation. I want to like it more than I do.

#5Sorry I'll have to sit this one out. I used to like deep political satire but so many bad ideas are masquerading as good ideas these days, the funny is just not funny anymore. I have kids now.
For example, I used to love the movie Brazil, until it started to resemble the European Union.

#7I'm a big fan of the statue of liberty idea. I'm surprised nobody making copper statues puts either a lacquer on them, or some sort of sacrificial anode. (if that's even possible for copper)
I assume the green look is preferable.

When roofs are restored with copper they are incredibly, uncomfortably bright in sunlight. Much worse than reflective windows. The dimming as they corrode is a welcome relief if you live or walk nearby.
I do like the idea of a glowing Statue of Liberty though.
