Re: A ramble about various note-taking applications
#2I like Obsidian in theory for journalling, but I find it makes me not want to journal because of how slow it is.
Other than that, I'm 100% in on Google Keep. It's free, and more importantly, it works well on my watch and with Google Assistant.
"Hey Google, add shampoo to my shopping list"
Swipe right on my watch, scroll through a few tiles, there it is!
And you can add more than one note that way. I have my to-do list, shopping list, and ideas Backlog (A note i use as an unstructured long term possible to-do list plus random ideas list).
It would be a great way to use my phone less too, I just need to find more things I actually want to be present for rather than use my phone....
What I really want now is a home screen widget with a simple box where I can type stuff, and it adds it to today's note, with a timestamp and good hashtag autocomplete, and then shows me a calendar view like Obsidian, that would replace 100% of what I currently use Obsidian for.
