Human consciousness is a composite of many sub-scopes competing for dominance as the singular coherent perspective of awareness we are all (mostly) familiar with.

Cognitive consciousness is a form of bio-technology, and like any technology there are various approaches with differing strengths and weaknesses.

Consciousness itself however works like a sieve. Push information into a scope, the information of the scope constructively and destructively interferes, and “some process” pulls the product back out, replicating the “information” through the nervous system (producing the higher level neurological and behavioral responses we identify with.)

This whole process works chaotically, as each one of us must struggle with the terrifying uncertainty of existence, or in a refined strategic way (usually influenced by a prior generation’s aspiration for fullness of being.)

This “magic” of this process is such that cognition is non-linear, scopes may entangle and enhance resolution (similar to holography), and is incredibly energy efficient for the crude gelatinous brain technology which we as humans inhabit.

A dumb quantum computer might be more “conscious” than a smart algorithm, yet the qubit is a dead end (the quantum domain is an analog sieve, not dependent upon spin characteristics.)

This analog sieve is capable of every nuance of experiential perception humans are capable of experiencing, yet it is our neurological biotechnology which perceived and propagates these “signals”, creating both limitations and characteristics of human experience.
