Minister attacks Meta boss over Facebook message encryption plan

MP Tom Tugendhat is Anti-EU, anti-right to remain, pro-nuclear, pro-war, for increasing tax thresholds, against taxes for bankers, anti-union, against preventing climate change measures, anti-immigration, pro-mass-surveillance, against devolution, against lower voting ages,

So, it's not really a surprise that he's in favour of draconian anti-privacy backdoors in encrypted messaging apps. It's unlikely he knows anything about encryption, and also unlikely that he's ever done anything to actually help crack down on child abuse.

He's just pushing the party line.
