Played with one of these at FOSDEM, they look fantastic. If you're after something as good looking and touch-orientated as Android, definitely not your thing, but if you're after something that's truly open for some hacking with, I'd recommend it. If you're not a fan of Java/ObjC or you don't want to fork out £99 to put an application on your own device (wtf apple?) and would rather just write a few quick scripts to get something done, this tablet is for you.

It's slick, it's got some good software and it's damn powerful. Guy next to me at FOSDEM wanted to know what resources it was using, so he simply opened a terminal and typed "top". Can't get simpler than that.

Already preordered one, at last a fully open Linux tablet (apart from the binary graphics driver).

it might still have e.g. a binary wifi driver, not many of these are fully open either...

The Spark is a Zenthink ZT180 so the Wifi module will be a RTL8192, which afaik has open source drivers.
