I'm new here. I see that I can comment, but I see that my submits are marked as [dead] as soon as I send them. Why is this so?

#2That can happen to brand new accounts as very basic anti-spam measrue. Other user then need to click 'vouch' (the button is visible for older accounts). I clicked that now. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35008484 Welcome to hackernews.

Hi mtmail, is having someone else click vouch the only way to get an account / post verified? Having the same issue with my post not showing up.
