#2It'd be great if I could easily customize Debian (i3, vim, zsh, chrome, etc.) and distribute / share it with others.
But I'm not sure what this does and cannot tell even after reading the first few sections of the README.

#7A similar distro with remaster tools based on Devuan is Refracta.
