no. honestly, I'm lucky I have a mattress :( [here I start crying as I try to figure out where to begin in telling the story of the saga that led to my failure to buy a sofa while I re-live the trauma of buying the mattress]

I would replace weird with complex. It's better.

Pessimistic take -- it's entirely possible the woman in this story doesn't really want a realistic and happy relationship. Perhaps she's subconsciously choosing serial monogamy with attractive players because of her own attitudes of what an ideal man looks like.

Maybe that's too harsh. Or maybe once a person talked to her there would be dozens of more layers and tests and games involved.
