The $10k Nvidia chip powering the race for AI

I really think the hardware of today must have more than enough raw power. Haven't I read about how much slower nerve cells are to signal than electronics?

Maybe we are developing supersonic aircraft in a "race" for a device that walks like a human with a natural gait.

As with walking robots, no reason why we wouldn't eventually get there, but going 1000 mph wasn't necessary or sufficient.
