Genuinely curious why this is front page on HN?

It’s horribly tragic, but it’s not really relevant.

Maybe because it involved a Tesla, but it seems that’s only coincidental — the collision had nothing to do with it being a Tesla.

Or was there a prior article that was speculating it was the fault of the Tesla, or other context that’s missing here?

Suicide? How tragic. I feel for the family and the spectacle of it all. Between this and the person who drove his family off a 200-ft cliff -- is it coincidence?
