Has HN been losing context, or is it just me? I feel like the articles that get to the top are more and more "general" and things you might find on news.google.com

Do people filter all this stuff in their client?

Not just you. This stuff doesn't belong here at all. More and more of it is creeping onto the front page somehow. It's best to just flag it and move along.
