AI lies to a journalist in an interview about AI ethics

ugh. clickbait titles. The AI seems rather forth coming and honest to me:

>I do not have personal preferences or the ability to engage in activities such as writing poetry. My sole purpose is to assist users with generating text.

and later

> I apologize if it seemed like I wrote you a poem. As a language model, I am not capable of creating original content or expressing personal thoughts or opinions. I can only generate text based on the input I receive.

Unfortunately, the whole thing has an Elizaesque ring to it. LIke the AI went to a communication workshop like they give to athletes.
