#4Gatekeeping is the ultimate purpose of walled gardens. The legacy media was disrupted by creative destruction. Today's Internet user can't differentiate between the larger Internet, social media platforms and apps. The new ecosystem offers greater fine tuned control than the legacy media.

#5It's basically evil for app stores to police what information apps can access. If they wanna do this is a safemode for kids or whoever wants to opt in that's okay, but it's wrong to force it on everyone.
