#5Why would they do all this dramatic firing and threatening? Why wouldn't they just assemble an isolated separate ghost team (presumably working the way Musk wants them to work), to quietly build a new system and infrastructure, and then just flip a switch when you are ready? Is the mass firings supposed to be some sort of positive signal to shareholders?
But yeah, there is no master plan. There’s no reason to damage the brand, invite regulatory scrutiny, and burn bridges left and right if the idea is to improve the product.
