#2I have created a map to showcase which cities/communities in Germany (and other countries) do switch off lights at night - mostly for saving energy, some for protecting #biodiversity
I'll be updating this list / map whenever I notice new items.
Almost every item has the corresponding news link as reference.

Side-effect of the switch-off is clearly less light pollution and thus a relief to nocturnal species.
It might help convincing the one or other mayor or administration that there are already many others who switch off lights at night (some since years).

In the meantime there are >300 communities which switch off lights at late night hours.
164 in Wallonia/Belgium, 50 in Luxembourg, >100 in Germany.
