> Based on this combination of factors, the available evidence appears to be inconsistent with both historic precedent and the scientific understanding of how natural zoonotic spillovers of respiratory viruses like SARS-CoV-2 occur. Ultimately, without increased transparency and publicly available and reproducible evidence that addresses these missing pieces of evidence, it is difficult to support the natural zoonotic origin hypothesis for the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak and COVID-19 pandemic.

I read the whole thing. Very erie that there's no evidence of an intermediate species that was infected before humans. Safety concerns in Wuhan labs, a coronavirus research hotspot according to the report, have been known for years. The timeline adds up to an incident between Sept and Oct.

Not to mention there were other weird differences between the old SARS outbreak in the early 2000s. China readily provided evidence for a zootonic spillover. This time, nothing.

Considering how much this has messed up all our lives, it's painful to see China not cooperate.
