#2Search engines can't crawl Discord servers. We're losing a lot of valuable information and knowledge.
I hope one day, we will move off of Discord and into some sort of live chat software that is built to be indexable by search engines.
Who's building it? If not, who wants to build it with me? :)

Discord is implementing a forum mode, that would be great if somehow the discord forum post were publicly exposed and crawlable at least

You are right, however many tools are starting to think about this issue. We tested the beta of a tool (https://open.crowd.dev/luos) and they are developing a feature that allows you to publish a mini-website that indexes the most interesting content published in the community. And as seren said, Discord has also recently released a Forum feature to better categorize topics and allow members to quickly find and exchange :)
