#3The only way this probably could work is if there was some kind of support agreement as part of the divorce settlement. The change in one spouse's wealth, might (but certainly not guaranteed) cause a reworking of the terms.

#4Was the divorce finalized? If so they're probably out of luck. If still in progress this is a question for their attorney not the Internet.
