IBM banned beards and shorts.

Then permitted Bermuda shorts, briefly.

Beards came later.

Now, IBM sacks anyone over the age of 55 (only half joking)

Brian Reid isn't one of them, we know that from a lawsuit with Google (he was 52 at the time)
