I suspect the more salient point is that a 5$ router that you can't get for less than 18$ is not a 5$ router.

#7Based on some reviews, this is a sub-par router, especially in terms of reliability and 2.4GHz performance. Perhaps they're just trying to liquidate their stock of it and make a few bucks while they're at it.

I suspect so too, but I'm not too sure they're really making any buck at all on it. Sounds like they're selling it for the cost of production
