#8McKinsey is merely a byproduct, if you want to get to the root you have to analyze Capitalism, the system out of which McKinsey-like entities emerged as the best fit for its natural selection.
It's up to the client to (choose to) implement the guidance, and, as a consequence, to realize the consequences, good, bad, or a combination of both.
