Wow, this is awful! But I'm confused: I thought all this NFT stuff was de-centralized? Why would some entity getting hacked allow a lot of NFTs to get "stolen"? What does "stolen" mean in these circumstances? Did investors loose copyright on those ape images?

Awful? How? Folks are putting good money into NFTs (jpegs hosted on s3 validated on the blockchain) for what? to speculate on the price going up to sell to the next gullible person... And now they've been hacked. Meh.
