#3If google started doing half of what's highlighted here, everyone would be up in arms about them stealing more traffic from the underlying sites.

I am asking the same question in my head for a year now. The last year i'm dipping my toes in machine learning, and using it in my infosec job. So i'm Googling a lot of things on how to set up a environment, how to implement stuff in Python and so.
But Google isn't really helping me. I have to use uBlock Origin filters to weed out the BS that gets shown me everytime. If anyone has a suggestion if there are better search engines for code and concepts.. Please show me.

#5Google probably doesn't care about the quality of it's search that much anymore.
They've secured their position with all of the Android search toolbars in the world. And the "google it" verb. And YouTube's dominance.
Google's search results could be near-unusable and their business would still be secure, the only realistic threats to Google at this point are:
– Government regulation, break up.
– Apple releasing a very shiny search engine with a cool name and nice UI.

Why do they need to innovate? Their stranglehold on search isn't waning.
