As a Christian, I’m both annoyed at someone creating this and the people who will inevitably fall for it.

Why would they "inevitably fail"? I doubt this has any significant operating costs: as long as one person pays for this joke of a product, they've succeeded about as much as they possibly can. The only remaining question is how long they'll keep the site online.
