#2It is a web app (Javascript+React) that runs in a browser or on a tablet or a smartphone.
Presently, the most common compression codecs are H.264 and H.265 . Their advantage is a high level of video compression, which saves space in the video archive. Motion JPEG compression is also supported. And here is a manual for the calculator https://www.jvsg.com/cctv-storage-calculator/

#5Looks like a handy tool to calculate the required hard drive size to store videos from CC's in my art studio. Sometimes, I feel that one month archive isn't enough. I want to store more. I definitely should buy a new HHD. Your calculator has also confirmed this )
In some countries, for some types of buildings, the archive depth can be regulated by law. These can be buildings with a requirement for anti-terrorist measures, for instance, including sports facilities, facilities with a mass presence of people, and railway striations / airports.
