#5I’m sure there’s a real ideological affinity between Qatari oil barons and American far left and there’s no other reason why they publish this kind of thing in English.
In Arabic: "The great Satan gave a speech today to eliminate all Muslims"
In English: "George Bush spoke today at the White House about the coalition must work together"

I have a friend who speaks Arabic. The stuff written in English is like a different world. In Arabic: "The great Satan gave a speech today to eliminate all Muslims" In English: "George Bush spoke today at the White House about the coalition must work together"

For topics outside of the middle east, I find Aljazeera to be pretty unbiased and on par with other reputable sources like BBC
So, people can be mad that I point out that it's completely bizarre for them to be funding this unless they are really just secret Trotskyists, but pretending al Jazeera is neutral and has no agenda is just another species of Americans' lack of worldliness. It's widely acknonwleged in the chronicles of the Arab spring that al-Jazeera played an important role. You may have agreed with that role, but it wasn't just delivering facts.
If you're a liberal, you should be troubled by that regime's use of slave labor to build for the World Cup and its part in the carbon economy. If you're a conservative, there's a lot more to trouble you there, but I won't speak for conservatives, but I would think state-owned media would be a problem for you.
I just don't understand why anyone who publishes a leftist view gets a pass from liberals even when they are involved in things liberals hate, especially in a world where people are getting cancelled for 15 year old tweets.
