I see a lot of YouTube channels that have posted all his clips with huge view counts. I’m actually pretty sour on our draconian copyright regime and the rampant DMCA abuse, but I kind of wish his family/estate was getting that money.

Some random fans get to reap the financial benefit of his life’s work? Seems weird.

It's all hearsay but I've heard it mentioned multiple times that this "imnotnorm" character is his son, Dylan.

The stated purpose of copyright is to incentivize the creation of new works. As far as I know, the man is truly dead, and won't be creating new works anytime soon. And, frankly, society would probably be better off if there was less intergenerational wealth being passed on.

What? No it's not. It's public knowledge that he is some philipino dude. And there has been much criticism against him, search the /r/normmacdonald subreddit you will find plenty
