Without giving too much away, there's definitely a little bit of a gotcha here. We wanted to call attention to the bait-and-switch tactics that have become completely acceptable in b2b content marketing, especially gated content. It makes us sad that these have devalued the medium to the point of all-ebooks-suck-forever

They don't all suck! Some do, but some also REALLY REALLY don't. (We'd know, we've read 100 over the past several months)

So we're creating a platform where the not-so-great guides can no longer hide behind splashy landing pages and big ad spends--where the best content will rise to the top. We're wrapping up development on that now and planning for a beta launch on January 10.

For anyone that's curious, this tool was created 100% in webflow, without any additional code.

Please let us know how you feel about the experience and if it changes the way you view free guides/ebooks.

This is not an algorithm.

Well no, not an actual computer algorithm. There might be a linguistic case for a classical human-powered algorithm, if we extend it past things like logic problems: "a set of instructions for solving a problem or completing a process/task." But even as a mathematical concept, people were creating and applying the idea of an algorithm literally thousands of years ago because we're the original computer, right...so...kind of a throwback here lol

Such a great idea. And you’re right, ebooks deserve to be more than just neglected lead magnets!
