California has a lot of cities. Most all of the complaints about homelessness or crime can be fully avoided by moving 15 minutes away. In fact, most of those big problems are concentrated in two or three major cities.

walnut creek is a suburb about 45 minutes from SF (the closest major population center is Oakland, about 20 minutes. But crime is pretty common in WC.

This is a lie without proof.
All evidence is it would be a digitally organised flash mob.
Flash mobs like this have happened before but it's rare.
And that's why is would be on HN exploring if it is a emergent behaviour from a digital medium. This is common in SciFi stories.
