The US is not a warmonger - it is the defense umbrella for the free world.
However, random drone strikes and clumsy interventions in Islamic countries are counter to any benefits.
This is not well-understood, but the reason foreign powers are involved in Afghanistan is to fund a federal government - a capital and some services (roads, banking, mining, etc.) The MSM frames that as invasions, but Afghanis invite outsiders for that purpose, but they don't want a perceived occupation.
