One of the speed sucks I've noticed is that on the posts listing page (and perhaps pages, WC products, and other CPTs as well, I haven't yet checked) is that the quick-edit feature needs a join to the taxonomies, and that can show up in Query Monitor.

Futhermore, from what I recall, even if you disable Quick Edit, it gets removed from the UI but the now unnecessary query / join continues to happen.
