I've never been honest during an exit interview.

In fact, I've never participated in an exit interview. I refuse on principle. If I quit a job, then I'm gone. All I want from my employer once I've quit is my final paycheck. I'm certainly not going back to tell them how they fucked up. There's no upside for me, just endless downside.
