They did try turning off the "beg for donations" overlays, but to no avail.

That sucks, I was a happy customer.

And I'll probably just find a more shady way to get my local news channel now.

Yes, I thought they were an outstanding service. I probably won't bother with local TV at all at this point; I'm certainly not paying confiscatory rates to consume it, and there's little other than local news I can't get elsewhere.
