Quite possibly actually "insulin pump at fault for not being appropriately shielded". But of course hams are the easier target, if at fault or not. (Sadly not that unusual that devices aren't built to work reliably in the presence of strong but legal transmissions nearby, although usually it's more things like remote controls etc on ISM bands)
