It always comes down to the value you perceive in a product. The entire discussion about Windows vs Mac OS, or PC vs Mac is completely pointless. The only thing every customer should do, is to get to know the advantages and disadvantages about the product.

If the author couldn't find more advantages in a Mac, then the doubled price is worthless for him. I, however, can find a lot of value in Macs and I don't perceive Macs as overpriced.

I find it quite annoying that so many people equate Mac vs. PC with Mac vs. Windows. Macs are shipped with Mac OS but they're personal computers and other PCs can run operating systems other than Windows. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're right, and it's just an abuse of language ...

True, a PC with Linux on it is even better than a Mac.

I think if everyone around you is telling you one thing and your contrarian impulses cause you to reject the conventional thinking, then you're the hipster. Don your tight cords, Laurent, and enjoy that band nobody else wants to listen to.

He he, well said. The thing is i like that band, it never disappointed me, and as WA says below, it fits my needs...

Since when has hipster meant rejecting the status quo and/or making a decision for yourself. I have always been under the impression that hipsters and lemmings had a lot in common.
