Is It Time to Give Up on Consciousness as ‘The Ghost in the Machine’?

Can we please get rid of this idea of some entity named "science" reaching a "consensus", already?

Please just say we don't know. Because it promotes the idea that there is some divine "science" out there that is disconnected from human beings
