The Apple Podcasts app is frustrating. Slow, buggy, sometimes unresponsive for too long. I far prefer smooth, accurate function over looks. I miss the F-Droid -hosted podcast app I used to use before switching to iOS for family connectivity. The update to iOS 14.6 hasn’t fixed the problems.

I recommend trying Overcast if you haven't already excluded it for some reason. I spend a lot of time in it, with relatively few issues. The only one I encounter is that it sometimes starts using 100% CPU when still downloading an episode and turning on Airplane Mode.

#4I'm happy to keep paying Marco $10 a year to leave Overcast's UI alone... I'd do the same for a secure but otherwise invisible browser.

I know this is a bit off topic, but with regard to a secure but invisible browser isn't that just Chrome?

#7The 14.4 and earlier has its own UI issues. I regularly show my podcast queue on my phone and take screencaps so I can rebuild my list when I do something in the UI and lose it.
