GenZ and Millennials: Add crypto investing to your bag

#1
I'm excited to share HAX, a new community designed to help GenZ (and young millennials) build wealth through investing, starting with our first LIVE course on crypto investing!

Do you have crypto FOMO but don't know how to get started to invest? Maybe the price movements or technical jargon make you feel its not for you? Or that you're late to the party so why bother? Don't worry - HAX has got you covered through our 4 week LIVE course which teaches you the basics of crypto and how to invest over the long-term through our playbook designed for GenZ.

My name is Karthik (founder of HAX) and come from a first-generation immigrant family where concepts like "long-term investing" and "wealth" were foreign. However, investing in crypto (by chance) in 2017 changed my life and taught me that anyone can begin to build wealth by:

- Getting started : I had little understanding when I first invested in crypto but having skin in the game got the flywheel goin' by pushing me to learn, which helped me gain conviction, which in turn empowered me to invest more, etc - Surrounding yourself with an amazing community : between people helping me learn, the war cry of "HODL" (never sell) that galvanized me to do the same, and commiserating during good times and bad, I owe my entire portfolio to the crypto community - Long-term mindset : in an earlier life, I would have certainly sold after pocketing a small profit. Thanks to the community, I've remained invested and first-hand experienced the true power of compounding

My mission with HAX is to provide these building blocks to GenZ (and young millennial) investors through live courses and community.

Thank you, however, I stopped reading when I saw the word HODL. It is pointless to simply HODL for years and never taking ANY profit just because you was early into a cryptocurrency that pumped or rocketed during the crypto bull run at its peak mania. (Which last happened in 2017)

I always take profits and reinvest them in crashes and bear markets to grow my holdings and coins rather than HODLing and waiting for another ATH only to 'never sell'. Oh dear.

I saw no 'influencers' or 'groups' hyping crypto in 2018 or in March 2020 when they were screaming that it was a scam or another ponzi. Yet another bull run comes in 2021 and the 'experts' are back; but never in bear markets. Why is that?

This better not be another pump 'n' dump group.

hey @rvz - appreciate your feedback.

This is a community for long-term investing (crypto is just one piece of this, plan to offer a stocks course later in 2021).

To me, long-term investing in crypto (which may seem outrageous to some) is 1) having conviction that core protocols (Bitcoin, Ethereum, a few select others) are going to increase in value over the long-term as crypto eats the world of finance, community, marketplaces, etc, and 2) holding those tokens for long periods of time. This is not about HODLing random "shitcoins" (like DOGE) just to be a meme.

There were definitely ppl evangelizing crypto in 2018/2020, but of course they werent the loudest. In any event, if you can take profits and buy the dips - more power to you.

For me, I've found that being a long term holder of anything (crypto/stocks) and riding out the mania/crashes is 1) less stressful, and 2) ultimately more lucrative.

Appreciate the feedback tho!
